Thank you for visiting IPC’s 50th Anniversary Website. If you’re here, you’ve probably
played a part in the tremendous accomplishments of the first and foremost association
for the printed circuit board and electronics assembly and manufacturing industries.
We invite you to participate in this 50th Anniversary celebration. Click on any
decade above to see a timeline of IPC’s successes and milestones. Post your memories
on our Industry Stories page. Check out the congratulatory letters from industry
and government – we’d love to have one from your company as well.
Enjoy our year-long celebration. Fifty only happens once. We're glad you're celebrating
with us.
Chairman's Message
Dear Colleague:
It is with great pride and humility that I serve as IPC's Chairman of
the Board, and have the distinct pleasure to serve in that capacity
through 2007, IPC's golden anniversary year.
As
an association and as an industry, we have many milestones and
achievements to celebrate and we'll be doing just that throughout the
year. Special tributes to 50 years of service, friendships, networking,
leadership and the building of an industry will kick off at IPC Printed
Circuits Expo®, APEX® and the Designers Summit, February 17-22, 2007, in
Los Angeles, Calif., and will also be brought to life on a new special
website.
We've created the site to allow you to enjoy the memories and photos of
the past and present and ask you to add your comments and memories so
they can be saved for the future. Join us as we celebrate the wisdom and
vision of the six printed circuit board manufacturers that came together
to create the Institute of Printed Circuits in the fall of 1957. Since
that day, IPC has been dedicated to removing supply chain obstacles,
creating industry standards, and supporting the advancement of the
industry.
No matter what changes lay ahead, the strength of our volunteer
leadership and commitment to serve the needs of our membership will
continue to be the hallmark of IPC for the next 50 years.
Sincerely,
C. James Herring
Chairman of the IPC Board of Directors
President & CEO, Circuit Service Inc.
